Host A Fundraiser

A third-party fundraising event is a great way to show your support and is easy to do! This is when a community group, school, or individual plans and hosts an event that raises money to benefit Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect. It is planned and executed independently of Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect and Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect founders and volunteers.

Below are some different ways you can raise funds and awareness for Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect in your local community!

• Special Occasions: You can use a birthday, anniversary, milestone, or memorial as a fundraiser. In lieu of accepting gifts, you ask your friends and family to bring a donation or donate to your fundraising page. Shea-Lynn did this for her 10th birthday and raised money for the Edmonton Humane Society. It is a very fitting way to honour her kind heart.

• Host a fundraiser: Host a silent auction, a basket raffle, a bake sale, a car wash, or an awareness campaign and donate the funds to Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect.

• Designate Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect as a beneficiary of your event: If your community group hosts an annual event that generates funds, consider donating a portion of the proceeds.

• Social Media Fundraiser: Did you know that you can raise money for Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect through your Facebook and/or Instagram account? Both platforms provide options to let you create fundraisers and support causes close to your heart.
