In 2020, approximately 1 in 3 people who died in a car crash on Canadian roads were not wearing seat belts¹. This is how we lost our daughter at only 16 years old. Help us drive change so more people understand the importance of buckling up and getting home safely.
Wearing a seat belt is easy. Failing to buckle up can change everything.

Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect was established to bring awareness to the importance of always wearing a seat belt and making safer choices while on the road. Through this awareness initiative, it is our hope to inspire change and prevent another family from experiencing a similar fatality or serious injury.

What We Do
We take our daughter’s story to the community. Shea-Lynn’s Butterfly Effect encourages the public to protect themselves while on the road through advocacy, education, and community engagement. Our activities increase awareness, reducing the risk of fatalities and injuries experienced in our community.
